Electrician in Palma

What our electricians in Palma de Mallorca do

An electrician in Palma de Mallorca charges by the hour plus a call-out fee: across Spain, the average published in 2026 is €35 to €50 an hour and €10 to €50 for the call-out. For a fault, we reply the same working day and, on that call, tell you the price and when we can come. Call us on +34 694 91 56 14.

We mainly do work that can be planned: new wiring for a renovation, the boletín to get the electricity connected or the power increased, consumer units, EV chargers and the electrics for air conditioning, heat pumps or solar panels. If you are renovating, we do it as part of your flat renovation in Mallorca, with the same site manager.

  • New wiring in flat and house renovations
  • Boletín (CIE) to get the electricity connected
  • Power upgrades and switching from single-phase to three-phase
  • New consumer units, RCDs and circuit breakers
  • EV charging points at home or in the garage
  • Circuits for air conditioning, heat pumps and solar panels
  • Checking the wiring before you buy or rent
  • Faults in working hours: tripping power, dead sockets

What we guarantee

Why call Greenox

People looking for an electrician in Palma usually want three things: someone who answers, the price up front and work that passes inspection. And if you are fitting a heat pump in Mallorca or solar panels, wiring that is designed for it.

  • We answer

During working hours we reply the same day. If we can't come soon, we tell you straight away and don't leave you waiting.

  • Price before we come

For a fault, we tell you the call-out and hourly rate before we come. For a job, a boletín or a charger, the visit and the quote are free.

  • We explain what's wrong

We show you the consumer unit and tell you why it trips and what your options are. If you're not at home, we explain it with photos.

  • Boletín included in the job

If the job needs a boletín, it's in the quote and we process it ourselves. You don't have to find anyone else.

  • Electrics and energy together

We work out the power with the air conditioning, heat pump, charger or solar panels you are going to install in mind.

  • Spanish, German and English

If you live off the island, we keep you informed on WhatsApp or by video call and send you photos of the finished work.

Good to know

Urgent faults, boletín and power: what you need to know

We don't have a 24-hour emergency service. We'd rather tell you plainly than leave the phone unanswered in the middle of the night. During working hours, we reply the same day.

Urgent faults

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, we reply the same working day in Palma. If at night you smell burning or see smoke or sparks, switch off the main switch and call 112. If the whole building or the street has no power, it's a fault in the network: call the fault number on your electricity bill.

Does the power trip when the air conditioning is on?

If the whole home loses power, you are usually going over your contracted power. If only one circuit breaker trips, that circuit can't cope with the unit. If the RCD trips, there may be a current leak: don't keep switching it back on.

When you're asked for a boletín

To get the electricity connected, to contract more power than the maximum your boletín allows and, if your boletín is more than 20 years old, when you change your contract. A boletín doesn't expire, but it has to be updated if you alter the installation.

Charger in a communal garage

If the parking space is yours alone, you only need to notify the community of owners beforehand: you don't need their permission, and the cost and the electricity you use are paid by you. In Palma, a charging point goes through a comunicación previa (prior notice to the council) with a technician, and work can start after 15 calendar days.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about electricians in Palma de Mallorca

Can't find your question? Message us on WhatsApp and we will answer in Spanish, German or English.

How much does an electrician charge per hour in Palma?
In Spain, an hour of an electrician's time costs €35 to €50 on average, within a range of €20 to €70, and the call-out €10 to €50, according to Cronoshare (January 2026). At night or on public holidays, the call-out and first hour cost €100 to €200. At Greenox, a fault in Palma costs €42 for the call-out, including the first half hour, then €54 an hour, IVA included. For a job, we give you a fixed quote.
How much does a boletín (electrical certificate) cost in Mallorca?
According to the CNMC, a boletín costs from €70 or €80 up to about €300, and most people pay €100 to €150. The price is not regulated: it depends on the installation and on whether anything has to be fixed for it to pass inspection. If the boletín is part of a job we are doing, it's included in the quote. If you only need the boletín, we give you the price after seeing the installation.
Do I need a boletín to increase my power?
It depends on your current boletín: you need one if the new power exceeds the maximum permitted power stated on it, and you may be asked for one if yours is more than 20 years old. Otherwise, you just ask your electricity supplier for the change and pay the network operator's charges (derechos de actuación, acceso y extensión). To get the electricity connected permanently, you will also be asked for a valid cédula de habitabilidad (habitability certificate) or, after a new build or a full renovation, the licencia de primera ocupación (first-occupation licence).
Why does the power trip when I switch on the air conditioning?
Usually because the unit needs more than the installation can deliver. If the whole house loses power, you are going over your contracted power, and it's enough to increase it or spread the load. If only one circuit breaker trips, that circuit falls short and a dedicated circuit for the air conditioning is worth having. If the RCD trips, there may be a current leak: don't keep resetting it, call us instead.
How much does it cost to replace the consumer unit or rewire an old flat?
Rewiring a flat in Spain costs €1,000 to €3,500 on average, according to Cronoshare (January 2026), and the consumer unit is only part of that price. It depends on whether the existing conduits can be reused, how many light points and sockets you add and whether the supply cable from the meter has to be replaced. With a photo of your consumer unit we give you a guide price and, after the visit, a fixed quote.
Do you install EV chargers in Palma de Mallorca?
Yes, in houses, in private garages and in spaces in communal garages. If the space is yours alone, the Ley de Propiedad Horizontal (Horizontal Property Act) only requires you to notify the community of owners beforehand. In Palma, a charging point goes through a comunicación previa (prior notice to the council) with a technician, and work can start after 15 calendar days. We check whether your power supply can handle the charger and prepare the notice and the boletín.
Do you do the electrical installation for air conditioning, heat pumps or solar panels?
Yes. Before a large unit goes in, we work out the power you need, run a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit and, if necessary, apply for the power increase. If Greenox also installs the unit, everything goes in the same quote with the same person in charge. That way the new unit doesn't trip the power on the first hot day.
Do you have a 24-hour emergency service in Palma?
No. We deal with faults during working hours, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and reply the same day. We'd rather not promise a night service we can't cover properly. If at night you smell burning or see smoke or sparks, switch off the main switch and call 112. If the whole building or the street has no power, call the fault number on your electricity bill.
